As I heard my my nana’s car parking up the driveway and her footsteps slithering closer and closer to the door. I was afraid because it was my very first time going to Rainbow’s End and my heart felt like it was beating a million miles an hour. When I hopped into the car I saw my uncle Josh and his sister Katalina. I was happy to see them but was scared at the same time.
The 15 minute ride felt like 5 seconds. As we drove past the entry sign my brain was absolutely empty and the only thing I could think of was; what if something bad happened to me? What if all the rides were high? I was scared of heights. What if people mock me because I’m a scaredy cat? What if I just wasted my nana’s money when she could be buying better things than spending it on this expensive place when I didn’t like it? Well that is what I was thinking of. While the car parked up my heart was still beating as fast as a cheetah and my cheeks started to burn like fire at my mid summer camp. When we entered Rainbow’s End I looked at all the rides and “WOW” was the only word I could use to describe the place, I was absolutely speechless. After we paid our tickets we had to wrap them around our hands like wrist bands and off we went.
When we walked around Rainbow’s End wondering what we should go on first I was thinking please don’t go on something too high or something that goes in circles so I don’t spew up on people. Then we walked past a ride called the Bumper Boats, and I definitely wanted to go on it because it wasn’t to high or to spinny, so it was perfect. When we went to go in line It was cool because no one wanted to go to it and we were the only one in line. After showing our tickets to the man we had got to have a turn on the bumper boats.
Later on we had finished our rides and it was so awesome and cool. I had never forgotten my first day at Rainbow’s End. When we finished we hopped in the car and I felt so sad and miserable because I was as tired as a baby ready for nap time. When we had arrived home I slowly made my way to my bedroom, onto the bed and ‘BOOM’ my eyes were shut closed and that was the end of my journey to Rainbow’s End.
